Going faster is great, but at some point you’ve got to slow down. The best suspension & stability control systems on the market can’t yet defy the laws of physics. If you’re too fast into a turn, you may be in trouble.
Stock BMW braking systems are very good and very difficult to outperform during spirited street driving sessions. However, if the vehicle has received a major boost in power or is being used as a track vehicle, improvements may be in order.
A change in brake pad compound…better bite & less fade at higher temperatures
Most track applications respond well to:
Stainless steel brake lines….Improved pedal feel & durability.
Brake cooling ducts….cooler brakes work better!
High temp racing brake fluid…higher boiling point for a firm pedal under racing conditions.
However, if these improvements still don’t dissipate enough heat & sufficiently stop the vehicle from speed, then larger brakes may be in order. Call us to discuss your performance braking needs.
